Casciotta of Urbino DOP

Casciotta of Urbino is an exclusive DOP product in the territory of the province of Pesaro-Urbino made according to ancient techniques now strictly certified. A tradition whose origins date back to the sixteenth century making it one of the oldest cheeses in Italy.

Casciotta of Urbino is a soft and crumbly cheese that comes from a mixture of sheep’s milk (70-80%) and cow’s milk (20-30%). Thanks to its sweet and pleasantly pleasant taste, it is a fresh and creamy product that can be used in many recipes, including small appetizers or in combination with pears and figs. It can also be used for fresh pasta fillings and for grilled side dishes. It can be cut into thin strips to accompany fresh seasonal vegetables with balsamic vinegar. We recommend pairing it with some of our products, such as cured metauro ham, truffle honey or extra rose hip jam.
